A little in the middle of nowhere but 15 min walk to main road and easy to grab bus into town from here. Very simple breakfast. Toast and jam and banana

Very beautiful stay in the home of this lovely hosting family. The house is surrounded by plants and it is very quiet.

One of the best places I've ever lived. A very quiet and peaceful place, a lot of greenery, birds singing. But close to beaches and shops, 10 minutes by tuk-tuk to Unawatuna. The hosts are very kind, cheerful and polite. You can arrange transfers to the beaches and Galle. Large room, always hot water, small shops nearby, delicious breakfast. Thanks for a great vacation! I would like to come back here again!

The place is a typical Sri Lankan house. The family is very welcoming and takes care of you. Not so far from the Turtle beach

I can most enthusiastically recommend any traveler to stay here. As I sit on the peaceful balcony listening to the various birds sing while gazing out upon the lush green forest I'm filled with such gratitude for having chosen Diwanka Villa for my stay in unawatuna. The family that owns and runs this charming little oasis are fantastic hosts. Always so kind and helpful. Momma of the house is available to cook you a wonderful meal at a most reasonable price while dinesh always with a big generous smile for his honored guests is ever ready with his tuk tuk to assist in whatever needs arranging. The home is kept spotlessly clean with constant loving attention from the mother. My stay here became extended after a bad scooter crash on the main road. Broken collar bone and significant wounds from the road rash. Dinesh and his wife kumudu have been beyond amazing assisting in my healing. Lovingly applying medication to my wounds. Constantly checking on my condition and offering uplifting encouragement when Im feeling so down. Truly if the accident had to happen, im so very lucky that I was living here at Diwanka instead of a hotel when it did. Any traveler would be fortunate to stay with this beautiful family for a few days during thier stay in unawatuna. The location is down a quiet road. A pleasant 15 minute walk amongst the vibrant lush green landscape to the beach nearby. In the other direction 25 minute walk to the magic of Yatagala temple. The blessings of Diwanka Villa and the love of this wonderful family have made what's been a difficult experience with my injuries, still feel like a Gift. Thank you!!!

There's nothing about my accommodations here for me not to like. Is Sri Lanka more expensive than India. Sure. But that's the state of affairs. I'm glad I've come and I look forward to another visit in the future.

Lovely, helpful and truly caring family. Clean room and good breakfast. The way to the beach is not too long at all, its quiet country road, not too much traffic. Just out of tourist area and main road traffic noises. The hosts have their own Tuk Tuk, so its easy to get around.
