The staff was actually really friendly and messaging was prompt. We had no issues with the staff that was working there. Also, the price of the room was fair for the quality. But this place is a prime example of 'you get what you pay for'...

I REALLY hate to leave such a negative review, and I am certain that this place is NOT actually just 3 stars. It's more like 5 stars. However, when I booked this place, I did so specifically because of it having a 9.4 star rating. But I can assure you, this place is very far from a 9.4 star experience. It was so bad, we actually had to find a different place to stay for the 3 weeks we were in Morelia. It's not the most dangerous neighborhood in Mexico, but walking down the streets at night didn't exactly feel 'safe' either. I would not recommend staying here as a single female. The front door to the hostel was never locked during the 3 weeks that we were in town. Perhaps that was just a coincidence for each time we passed by. But the real problems started once we entered the property. The front stairwell is a pain if you have a lot of luggage. It is extremely narrow, but still manageable if you're reasonably fit and don't have heavy bags. Our EXTREMELY tiny room was located on a front facing street - that meant lots of noise anytime a vehicle drove by, even with the windows closed. And motorcycles and large trucks were extremely loud. Better windows could have solved this problem. But the most unsettling thing about the place however was the sewer smell. We were told it was a temporary issue, and that it was only confined to our particular room, but that was just not true. You could smell the sewage in the entire apartment including the common areas. And it was the same when we returned 3 weeks later to check. I'll also add something for anyone who is 'sensitive' to 'the energy' of places. The whole place feels quite 'dense'. Just like an energy bubble of depression surrounds this place.

Great location with easy access public transportation. We stay in the roof top units. Great patio to chill out. The kitchen was well furnished. The amenities were well kept and clean. Owners very attentive too.
