Walawwa Matale

Las fotos no hacen justicia con el sitio. La ubicación de la casa está en una zona bastante oscura, con camino poco habilitado y peligroso sobre todo si vas de noche. Para colmo al llegar tenían montada una fiesta familiar la cual supuestamente se iba a terminar a las 22:00 y hasta las 23:30 no dejaron de hacer ruido, lo que nos dificultó el descanso después de un día largo de viaje. El desayuno estaba muy especiado y nos sirvieron agua del grifo.

1.Calm and quiet environment 2.Nature. Surrounded by trees. 3.Tasty food. Good portions and reasonable prices. 4. Staff are friendly and attentive 5. Pantry with basic facilities to make your own tea etc. It would have been better if the property had hot water facilities.

I think the facilities at the property needs to be reassessed/ updated on booking.com because some of the facilities listed aren't actually available ( example : washing machine, toilet paper, wifi did not work etc.)

The building itself was pretty and it was nice to have a covered outside area.

We stayed here specifically due to the property claiming to have a washing machine, and also a watching machine specific to the room we booked. We paid more than we could have done for a property closer to the town due to this. We arrived and there was no washing machine to be seen, the owner ignoring my attempt to contact them about it and making no effort to apologise or rectify the situation at all. When we arrived there was no one there and on the phone it felt like no one really knew we were coming. When we asked about the wifi they also claim to have we were told it was “damaged”. There was no one else staying at the property so the staff staying there awkwardly hovered around we felt very watched. Lots of dead bugs in our mosquito net.
