The fact it is a family home, the family are very welcoming and hospitable. Also Thamel is mainly close-up four-story or more hotels whereas this place is a family home with terraces and space all around so not as claustrophobic as some others. The rooms could do with a little bit of an update but the bathroom was clean and modern with hot water. For the price it's well worth it. It's also in the main tourist area but a little further out so not quite as busy as some other locations. There is plenty of everything you need just outside the gate but it is also a little more chilled out.

Friendly family hosts guests, many who have been coming to Nepal for years. Nice areas to sit and share stories and meals. Clean and comfortable room. Great location for walking and shopping.

The family was so nice and we left with them the bags to do a trekking. Nice place close to the main touristic places
Some noise at night so if you go to bed early you can find It a little disturbing

Location is great. This is familly running guesthouse, hosts are always there, super friendly and I really liked that there on every floor has a little terrace with flowers and guests and hosts sitting together.....this is something what you cannot find nowhere. And many-many peope they are coming back to there again and again, several times. And I was thinking, that if one day I'll be back in Nepal.....I will stay there.
