Cosy Cottage in the Vines

Well equipped unit.

Unit was not clean on arrival. Wash in the washer and dishes in the dishwasher. We assumed they were clean, but who knows. Didn't use the hot tub because the porch deck was dirty, and no broom to sweep it off. In all, this could be a primo place if it got regular cleaning attention...

Nice location as could walk to a couple of vineyards.

Robot hoover woke us st 5am. Owner promised refund but never followed through or responded to my email following up. Outside area was covered in leaves, spider webs etc so not that appealing. Inside was ok.

Bathroom was clean but tiles when wet are a hazard. Fan in bathroom needs upgrading Didn't see any smoke alarms. Spa was awesome but also needed a clean out an visitor (dog) was very friendly

Teatowels - no tea towels supplied to dry dishes. Dish washer hadn't been emptied House keeping skills need upgrading

Excellent location. Bikes provided to enable us to cycle to local winery’s a short distance. Views were stunning and great amenities in cottage

Robotic hover started working at 3am which woke us up and beer can rings in jacuzzi which need to be cleaned also more black out curtains needed on main doors

Spacious, comfortable and enjoyed the hot tub. Close to lots of wineries of which we visited one - Torlesse winery which was within walking distance and we enjoyed. There were courtesy bikes but we didn't use them. The owners did allow us to park our car on the premises prior to check in which we appreciated.

Although the accommodation was lovely there appeared to be a slight let down on the maintenance and communication side for our stay. In all the previous places we have stayed in New Zealand we have been left some milk. The information on the accommodation was confusing as in 1 place it mentioned 'breakfast in the room' and another said 'breakfast not included.' We contacted Hannah early afternoon to ask about milk and she replied about 4pm to say she would arrange for it to be delivered. As none had arrived by 6pm we messaged again and she said it would be about 8pm. Had we known we would have picked some up before our wine tasting. There also weren't any bathrobes as listed and no extra towels for the hot tub. Also, the ledge above the sink wasn't very clean and on checking that we hadn't left anything behind we saw 2 old straws under the bed..The robotic vacuum had obviously missed them. After all the positive reviews we had read about Hannah 's responsiveness we were very disappointed especially as she didn't offer any explanation.

What a perfect spot with amazing hosts! We wish we could’ve stayed much longer!

A very cute and cozy cottage in a stunning location. Host was very friendly when we arrived and allowed us to use the bikes ahead of check in time so we could head out to the vineyards etc which was very kind. A private spot that felt very relaxing! We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again!

It really was fab, the only constructive feedback we had was that the soap dispenser in shower was empty and there was no dishwashing liquid for us to do dishes and the dishwasher was full from previous guests dishes (clean). We also couldn't find any way to get the outdoor lights on whilst we were in the spa (which was fine - but just FYI).
