The attitude of the staff was very unpleasant. After we paid, the lady who I spoke (she seemed the owner), told us that the check-out is at 11 because she has other guests the next day and need to clean the room. I told her I do not agree this, on booking the check-out is one hour later. She tried to trick us by saying that on booking is not something official, and then I pointed on a sign written by her, on a wall, that was stating the same, that the check-out hour is at 12 🙂 I ask her, she either offer us a discount, or I keep the original check-out hour. She agreed in the end but very angry and her attitude very wrong, like I was staying there for free. Later, in that evening the fire alarm went on, and after some minutes she knocked repeatedly on our room's door. When I opened, without apologizing, she started asking us with a superior and high tone if we smoked in the room. We said no, we don't smoke, and she simply left without saying anything for the disturbance or that she made us guilty from the start. On top of this, there was no heating in the room, I asked her why, she said the boy that repairs will come tomorrow to fix. I sincerely don't think it was broken, they simply don't start the heating during night to save money perhaps. Very bad experience, perhaps the worst I had, and I traveled all Europe and in some parts of Asia. This hotel made a very bad impression about Romania to my foreign girlfriend. What a shame...

The location is convenient, though it's not the closest to the center or lake, so keep that in mind if proximity is a priority. However, it’s ideally situated near several hiking trail starting points, which is great for outdoor enthusiasts. The on-site restaurant offers delicious food at surprisingly reasonable prices. We stayed in a two-bedroom house and were initially unsure about the electric heater, but it kept us warm even with nighttime temperatures around -5°C. For those interested in outdoor cooking, there’s a grill available, and if you’re in the mood for a warming experience, a wooden jacuzzi awaits (not all properties have such). Additionally, there’s a billiards table, a ping-pong table, and two stationary bikes, so you have plenty of options if you're looking for extra activities beyond hiking. There's a small pond where ducks sometimes came to stay and a cat that greeted every customer.

The shower in the two-bedroom house is on the smaller side. I didn’t have any problems, but people who are XL or larger might find it a bit restrictive. While the outdoor grill and wooden jacuzzi can be enjoyable amenities, they may also attract groups or families who don’t always respect quiet hours, might be playing loud music on portable speakers and creating noise. We were lucky the staff eventually stepped in but that was later in the evening.
