On arrival, I checked into the room. Smooth process. In the room, I noticed a large pile of insect debris next to the bed (see photos). Glad I didn't step into this while getting out of bed at night. I notified the owner discreetly, showing him the debris and saying I didn't feel comfortable staying there and would leave. I didn't want to take the risk to carry whatever caused this back home. Also, if there is a large pile of filth in an open space of the room, that either means the room hasn't been cleaned in a while or the infestation is so big that it creates these piles very quickly. Either way I didn't want to feel things crawling on me at night, so I left. Immediately, the owner's mood changed, yelling at me to leave and trying to intimidate me into cancelling the reservation myself. I drove to a different hotel and put in a cancellation request. Unfortunately, the owner declined the request, saying I used the shower - no way - and the room. It was about 6pm by then and I had stayed there for maybe 15 minutes before I noticed the droppings. I tried to get a cancellation through booking, but the owner claimed I lied about having been there at all ("he had the wrong address"). So this guy is a lost cause and I'm writing a review. Don't go there. It's filthy and dilapidated. The owner is rude, his kind demeanor at first is just an act. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Beautiful property that offers all your meals, comfortable rooms and is only steps away from the beach. The staff are very friendly and hospitable. Speak to the owners for recommendations and tips for the area.
