Wonderful Stay in Breb – Highly Recommended! We had a fantastic stay at this charming guesthouse in Breb! The location is perfect, situated close to some of the most beautiful attractions in the region, such as Bârsana Monastery, the Merry Cemetery in Săpânța, and the famous Mocănița steam train. Our host was incredibly welcoming and generous — we were greeted with delicious homemade pies, doughnuts, and local drinks, all on the house. The food here is truly special, made with fresh dairy products from their own farm, which added a lovely authentic touch to every meal. We also had the chance to dine a bit uphill from the guesthouse at BREB 148, where the scenery was absolutely stunning and the food just as delicious. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to experience traditional Maramureș hospitality, great food, and beautiful landscapes

Our best stay in Romania. You have to be aware that it’s a home stay type of accommodation, so don’t expect hotel facilities. The hosts were so hospitable and nice, we took them up on an evening meal, which was one of the nicest on our holiday. We were treated to three lovely courses and there was plentiful amounts to eat. The bedroom was small but cosy. There was a small balcony where you could take in the scenery too. The location is tucked away but there’s a lovely walk that you can do that’s a 20 minute loop which gives you a great view of the village. There’s off road parking; great WiFi; great food and great hospitality. We’d definitely book again if in the area.

Amazing place, they are very very welcoming, we had a lot of fun, a lot of talks, they've helped us with pointers, stuff to see around. Food is great, breakfast and dinner. We tasted freshly made horinca as well. We will definitely come back when around the area. Thank you so much 🙏

We loved everything here! Staff made us feel like we were just visiting with old friends! They offered any accommodations that would make our stay more pleasant. They offered dinner and breakfast add-ons which we HIGHLY recommend - traditional meals (no menu), which was enough food for 4 when there were two of us. Meals were delicious!

We didn’t dislike anything about this place!

The hosts were delightful. Not a lot of English spoken when we first arrived but amazing what can be achieved with sign language and Google translate. They couldn’t do enough for us. Walking through Breb felt like wandering through a fairytale especially as we were lucky enough to have a snow fall on the surrounding mountains. The dinner cooked by the hosts was hearty and delicious.
