Casa Grai Moroșănesc

This is a great Guesthouse! Not only are the rooms clean and spacious but the family who runs it are amazing. We were welcomed by the whole family with 2 glasses of horinca! Our room was very clean and comfortable, the bathroom is also clean with hot water. We had dinner and breakfast at the Guesthouse and are so glad we did. The food was delicious and plentiful and we had a lot of fun learning about Romania. There is parking in the yard and it's easy to access. The village of Breb is very cute and a definite must if you travel to Marmures.

The hosts are very nice and kind people

Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly from the first moment we arrived. We arrive by car and had a place to park. They met us in the driveway with a welcome drink of the honrnica brandy that they brew. The last part of the road to their house is gravel, but fine for our little car. The room was very clean, and had beautiful, traditional decorations on the walls. We had a small balcony with a pleasant view. I liked that the bedroom had bedside lights for reading at night, and better ambiance. I also appreciated the extra pillows. (thank you). They had some sweet family wedding pictures in the hall way that I enjoyed looking at. Everything was homey and sweet. We chose to have breakfast and dinner for several of the days we were there, and be prepared.... it is a lot of food. Each day, Iliana (I hope I spelled it right) made a wide array of foods. For breakfast, there were eggs, variety of meats, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, two kinds of cheeses, bread, butter, jams, tea, coffee, fresh milk....My husband especially, loved the honey which was fresh and local. Dinner was huge as well, starting with amazing soup, bread, and then came the second course, and then dessert. It was evident that everything was prepared with love. We very much enjoyed our stay with this family. We loved meeting them all. Though our hosts did not speak english, their son in law, who manages the booking, does. We got along just fine, either with the help of the son-in-law, or using google translate. It was nice to meet him and his wife as well! The grandmother was also very kind, and showed us around the property. Their hospitality and warmth were the highlight of our month long trip to Romania. The village of Breb is a very special place. For me, the bed was very firm. This is just a preference, and for some it may be fine.

The kindest, most caring, and generous hosts! Sparkling clean accommodations, and exceptionally delicious fresh farm to table food from the property. It was an absolutely stellar amazing experience, the best guest house in Breb! For first timers, there is only one restaurant in Breb that is remote and hard to get to, a tiny market, and no bank or ATM. As such, the property you stay at SO important. I extended my stay because this beautiful guest house was so incredibly wonderful, peaceful, warm and comfortable. My Highest recommendation!

I absolutely loved everything

Everything was beyond expectations: 1. the owners welcomed us with the classic horinca and with good cheer. They were always available to provide information and often offered us goodies from the house; 2. the location is in a quiet area, you can easily walk and visit the village of Breb 3. the rooms are clean, rustic but modern at the same time 4. the food is exceptional, as local products are used 5. the price is very affordable for everything that offers. When we return to Maramures, we will definitely choose this accommodation again.

The family who runs this retreat is absolutely delightful. We were welcomed with a shot of prune schnapps and berry liquor, shown to our cosy room decorated with local textiles, I fell in love with the woolen bed spread, would have bought one for myself had it not been for the heavy weight. We had home-cooked dinner and breakfast on the balcony decorated with love for the local crafts, with only green surrounding us. The breakfast was opulent, for the first time we had honey made of rape flowers. Upon departure we were given a small bottle of berry liquor, for the road, and parted like oldfriends. What an experience! Breb is beautiful, it is worth staying overnight. Grai Moranesc is heartily recommended.

Good location, surrounded by nature in the idyllic countryside village of Breb. The family run guesthouse has a big beautiful garden with private parking (very important due to absence of public parking in the narrow gravel roads of the village). The cosy room with private bathroom is decorated in traditional way, big enough and comfortable for 2 guests. It's possible to have breakfast and dinner, food is home made with great quality and extremely generous portions. The staff is absolutely friendly and happy to communicate with people from different countries, makes you feel like home. We had a great experience and would choose this place again for our next trip to Maramures

Thank you for making us feel at home, like a part of the family. It was really great to stay with you! We really recommend to eat at Grai Morosanesc dinner and breakfast, Eliana is a great chef! We were by motorbike and we parked inside the garden without any problem - but we recommend to arrive from the lower part of the road - the road it's a little bit bumpy.

Very nice people and delicious food. We left in the room very important thing, they let us know and sent it to Poland without any problem.
