This is my second time staying at this charming house. We first stayed here several years ago with our beloved dog son,Doudou. Now that he's gone, we took his ashes and our new dog in this place to remember him. This old French-style house, nestled on a hill, is divided into two floors. The ground floor houses a beautiful living room and dining room, while upstairs are the bedrooms, each with its own spacious bathroom. The rooms are uniquely decorated with antique furniture, and the pillows are duck down, a rare find in a guesthouse. The owner, his wife, and the housekeeper were incredibly welcoming, accommodating our every request and providing thoughtful care. They reserved the north-facing bedroom for us this time, allowing us to rest comfortably despite the scorching weather.

The bathroom fixtures and plumbing were very old, and replacing them completely would have been a massive and expensive undertaking.

Le propriétaire vous accueille et vous explique tout ce dont vous pouvez faire aux alentours et est aux petits soins tout le long de votre séjour. Les chambres sont nettoyées tous les matins.Le petit déjeuner est excellent . Vous pouvez non seulement aller dans la piscine mais jouer aux échecs ou Ping pong . Un petit coin Sport. L'endroit est vraiment paisible.

Cadre atypique, au calme en dehors de la ville et en meme temps aux portes de toutes les attractions!

A charming historic villa tucked away in lush, beautifully maintained gardens. While it feels wonderfully secluded, it's just a short walk to the lovely town of Luso, near the stunning Bucaco Forest and only about a 30-minute drive to Coimbra. The hotel exudes old-world European charm, with gracious hospitality and facilities dating back to the late 1800s. There’s a shared lounge for relaxing, and guests are welcome to swim in the pool, which offers breathtaking views. Every detail was thoughtfully managed during our stay — a truly memorable experience. Oscar and Marie, the owners and hosts, were warm and attentive. They went out of their way to accommodate our vegan dietary needs each morning at breakfast, which we deeply appreciated. Thank you both.
