Princesa do Gilão is a really charming boutique hotel and a great find in Tavira. The property is beautiful, with lovely grounds that make it feel peaceful and special. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and nicely designed without feeling overdone. The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, which adds a lot to the experience. Breakfast is included and truly excellent—definitely something to look forward to each morning. A personal highlight was the resident cat and dog in the gardens—they add such a warm, homey touch to the stay. If you’re looking for a relaxed, stylish boutique hotel with character, this is a wonderful choice.

The location is excellent. Everything was very clean and my room was cleaned each day.

My room was adequate but basic. The safe didn’t work and some of the towels were threadbare, but they worked!

Great location, walking distance from city centre and main attractions. There's a supermarket just around the corner. Ferry to beach is 5min walk. Nice shower and comfortable bed. Great customer service from all staff, specially Suzanna at front desk. Highly recommended and woulld definitely come back.
