Hatea Drive Accommodation

Perfect for what I needed - a base while I went to an 80th birthday. Comfortable room, great facilities and I would definitely stay again for sure.

I had to request an iron but that said the owner brought the iron super quickly and was very nice and even plugged it in for me so it wasn't really a problem at all. Everything was great.

I arrived late for a next day meeting, the room was very clean and spacious so i could continue to work. Very clean and tidy.

Perfect space and place to do township errands. Parking is excellent. Comfortable accomodation next to the Hatea Drive Hotel which serves a decent buffet breakfast at a reasonable cost. You could walk to town from your apartment and there is usually someone selling fruit about 30 metres on the road outside the place (spoilt for choice). Being on a main road you may get a little noise but you have a double glazed sliding door so it wasn’t an issue (I sleep with noise in the background anyway). Bed was a King and bedding made the crisp nights feel cosy and luxurious. A small microwave and kettle with plenty of coffee & tea and cutlery when needed. Host was superb, thanks Mike for making me feel at home. Excellent price, I highly recommend and will stay again when I visit Whangarei.

Very spacious and generous in size. A private apartment. Very clean and tidy. Had everything that we needed. The fridge was nice and big. Full kitchen facilities. Loved the shower. Nice, Relaxing and worth the money. Check in with the owner was a breeze. The owners are very nice, easy going, they will check you in and out and then leave you to enjoy your stay.

The only downfall was the main road traffic. Cars and Police sirens. My husband found it hard to get to sleep and had a restless night. Other than that everything else was perfect.

I searched a lot online to find the right place to stay, and found this amazing super-perfect and really nice place, in the exact part of town where I wanted to be, handy to everything! My main priorities were: 1. A private entry, and my own private self contained area (not shared facilities etc.) And a private bathroom. 2. Somewhere clean and relaxed and quiet. 3. Easy access to town, with a safe place for my car yo be parked near me. 4. A fridge and place for my food, and tea and coffee. 5. Somewhere handy to town and everywhere. 6. A good priced rate for the room! All of these were fulfilled, and more! It was so spacious and clean and welcoming! The hosts have gone to a lot of effort to make this place interesting and comfortable and hospitable. I had a beautiful, spacious downstairs room with a roomy bathroom/toilet ensuite, which was fantastic! The shower was great! Carparking was plentiful, and I could park right next to the room! Apparently all the rooms have a King sized bed, and it was very comfortable. The little fridge was ample, and had freezer space too, and there was a good kettle, and tea/coffee area and supplies. Everything was there, nice fresh big towels, body wash etc and even a hairdryer. It was easy to find, and the little covered and enclosed porch in the front made it so discreet, you wouldn't know there was a lovely big private room behind it. I really enjoyed this lovely place and the friendly welcome from the host, and I definitely want to go back!
