"over all, a very lovely place to stay."

It was nicely appointed, clean and comfortable.

Late check out was really not an option and there was no place to store our luggage for the day. We ended up having to store our luggage at the ferry terminal which was a huge inconvenient and an extra expense. The moorings apartments property appeared to have plenty of space to have a storage area for their customers.

The property has great views and is a short drive to the nearby village/shops.

The property was not as clean as expected. It was dusty and had lots of bugs (dead and alive).

The view from the apartment looking back at Auckland was amazing, you not only got the view of the ocean during the day but at night you get the Auckland city view.

"Very good but get a better property manager who has some reasonable customer service..."

Nice location, modern facilities

Asked for additional towels and property manager (not owner) said they would look into it and said they could deliver some the next day whereas we needed them that night, then proceeded to ask for $10 / towel for 4 people for 3 nights, cheaper to go to the shops and buy some. Perhaps we should have read the fine print but at $600 / night for the two apartments it tainted our experience. The owner of the units who lives next door was exceptional and gave us towels at no cost so I think the property manager is letting the owner down here big time.
