The house itself feels very local and "no frills," which we liked. Shared kitchens inside. Drinking water is available. The outside area in the front has a super comfy day bed, and a palm tree swaying in the wind, very relaxing overall. Sarah and Axel were excellent hosts, with clear communication, and easy-going. Super affordable compared to the rest of the area. Close to the beach. Great location.

The room was big enough for 2 people and the beds had moskito net, which is always great. In the hostel you have a place to chill out and also 2 kitchens where you can prepare your own food. Near it there are some touristic restaurants and even local places in the main road where you can eat local and cheap food. The hostel is really close to the beach and Sarah and Axel are the best hosts ever. They helped us in everything we needed and were really nice.

This was my first solo trip ever, but at Sunny House, I felt like I had been here before. It is such a quaint place radiating chilled holiday vibes. I couldn't wait to chuck my luggage and have a snooze on the big comfy bed in the courtyard. Thats how I got to talking with Sarah and Axel. I am a nervous traveller but they put my mind at ease and told me about the best places to visit for coffee/food/drinks and places to visit on the Island. However, I chose to have breakfast at Sunny house everyday because the bruschetta and guacamole on sour dough (I asked them to add eggs) was excellent and great value for money. Sometimes they do daily specials so I got to try a veggie curry and gnocchi. Both were amazing since Sarah and Axel are both great cooks! The bathrooms are very clean and the showers are great. Bed sheets and towels were also clean, which is always nice. In fact, they even do your laundry for a small amount of money which is super convenient! Even though the property does not have a beach view, it is literally 30 seconds away. I had booked just one night but ended up staying. Sarah and Axel, thank you so much for being incredible hosts and making my stay so comfortable.

Currently, they do not offer WiFi. But I got a local sim for 20k shillings which is good enough.
