The staff is very friendly, helpful and flexible. We were traveling with a motorcycle and got into a huge thunderstorm which stopped us for a couple of hours, basically making it impossible to reach the accommodation that day. After contacting the owner she agreed to move our booking to the next day.

The room was clean, the food was good and affordable and the staff was nice.

The location is quite far from Vârtop, but it was worth it. The landscapes are wonderful. The food was delicious and we had the opportunity to drink spring water. Spacious room and comfortable beds. We would like to come back here during the summer.

The location is great - you are on the route for self driving or cycling over the Apuseni Mountains. There was space to park our car. Just over the road from the hotel was a good "supermarket" - ideal if you want to get food for picnics etc... The food was excellent, as was the dining area on the ground floor and beside the stream that runs under part of the hotel

As we checked in, the reception team said "you''ll need this fan" - but in the cool of an evening in the mountains? i couldn't understand...until a few minutes later. Our teeny, tiny room was amazingly hot - it was under the roof and the July sun had heated it up like a sauna. There was almost no room to walk around the double bed. With only 1 tiny window high up on one wall it was baking and sweating all night long - despite having a bedside fan. It was positively the worst night of our month long Romania holiday. Clearly the design/build of the property was not well thought out or delivered. It's a shame as the location and food were great. Lastly - there is a little stream that runs under the property and alongside the outside tables for eating. In the middle of dinner someone upstream emptied their sewage tank into the stream - the stench was enough to make you retch and we had to run away for fresh air. It is no fault of the hotel - but it kind of put the seal on a difficult stay.
