Wailuku Guesthouse

It was beautiful and relaxing. We felt like we were in old world Hawaii.

We stayed there for 2 weeks. The value for your money is outstanding. The location of this guesthouse is awesome, and you can easily reach every destination on the island from there. Maureen was very friendly and always asked us if we needed anything. The wifi was outstandingly good, and the garden/pool area was charming. We had our dinner there every evening. Parking is very handy right beside the entrance and the main street with all the restaurants and shops is within walking distance. Every evening we heard the keiki (kids) on the basketball court and they listened to brilliant music. That was an extra bonus for us. And one more thing. There's a friendly ginger cat (we called him Keiko) who welcomed us on the first day and basically every day after that until we came home. Someone bought some cat food for him and we kept feeding him every evening. Then we bought some food before we left. If you book a room here, please continue this little "tradition" and feed Keiko. He adds some extra charm to the place. :)

I wouldn't say I didn't like it, but maybe an idea for future upgrade. We were in the queen room and it's charming, but it could use a table. There were evenings when we had no mood to go down to the garden for dinner, but because there's no table in the room we had to eat in the bed. Not ideal. I know the space is tight, but maybe a wall mounted foldable something could be fitted. Otherwise the room was charming.

Fantastic pool with waterfall was perfect place to lounge and cool off at the end of the day. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. The host was very friendly and helpful with great food and attraction recommendations.

Schöne Außenanlage mit Pool. Trinkwasserspender vorhanden. Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin.

Matratze war sehr durchgelegen.

Super sauber und Maureen ist sehr nett. Außen wie innen toll eingerichtet.

The accommodation is great, in a beautiful house in Hawaiian style with a pool, in a safe and quiet location. Great atmosphere. Parking right next to the house. Very nice host.

Die Außenanlage war sehr gepflegt und ansprechend gestaltet. Der Pool war schön, auch wenn wir ihn nicht genutzt haben, da wir meist am Meer waren. Besonders praktisch war, dass Stühle für den Strand, eine Kühlbox sowie Schnorchelausrüstung zur Verfügung standen.

Die Unterkunft war leider nicht sauber. Im Badezimmer lagen lange schwarze Haare, obwohl wir selbst nur kurze braune bzw. lange blonde Haare haben. Außerdem befanden sich mehrere Insekten (z. B. Raupen und Tausendfüßler) im Zimmer. Die Handtücher bestanden aus Polyester und waren zum Abtrocknen ungeeignet. Es gab kaum Ablageflächen. Die Klimaanlage ließ sich nicht regulieren und blies permanent kalte Luft direkt auf das Bett. Zudem roch der Abfluss unangenehm.
