- swimming pools, one smaller for small children 1m deep, and one bigger 1.40m deep, water very clean, area around very well maintained - the position of the property, near the road but still at the forest margin and still quiet and relaxing - the restaurant, very good food, you can choose from a lot of entries in the menu, all of them available (they have also ice-cream, fresh, coffee and other things) - a place for grill in the backyard in the forest

the trees planted in the garden were beautiful, probably much more expensive than everything inside.

very long distance to travel from Orsova.. almost 2 hours drive. there is nothing else to do in the area of the hotel,everything else is at a minimum 2 hours drive. the rooms are small, the mattress is extremely old and the pillows are also old and very hard. the bed is close to breaking when you move. you can hear everything from the other rooms. I could hear the neighbors while being on the toilet 😕. the food is expensive with no reason and the only fish available to eat was catfish. the pool was dirty and everything outside was just not being taken care Off. Most of the drinks from the menu were not available. some of the other people had a loud party just in front of our children rooms, so they were not able to go to sleep until 3 am. overall a pretty bad experience and we decided to leave a day earlier than planned.

Good location, close to the Danube Gorge (but not on the river bank, across the street). 2 pools (kids & adults). Service in restaurant good: quick (for drinks & food), ice cold beer (as should), very good mint lemonade.

Restaurant selection pretty small. Food average, but since limited alternatives around, can be an option. Check bill before paying, sometimes there can happen some errors in favour of the property (resolved when we signalled them). You can see there was an initial investment in the hotel area, a couple of years back, but currently it is very degraded, and quality is very low for the prices they charge. Not clean, beds uncomfortable and noisy, doors functioning very badly, bathrooms smell like sewer (you cannot stay without balcony door open), towels very old and stained (I really felt bad for not carrying our own from home). Beware, owners like to get drunk at night, party on the restaurant terasse, put loud music and scream. For us it happened betweek 00.30-02.00 AM (woke us and the kids from sleep), despite we told them in the morning we had a bad experience in our prevoius accommodation (not being able to sleep because of a next door party), they couldn’t care less. Eventually we had to close the door to minimize the noise and bear the strong sewer smell of the bathroom for half of night. Oficially terasse closes at 11 PM. This is when their staff goes home, so telling us next day that terasse is actually open till 2AM is just a lame way of excusing their behaviour. Would not recommed for spending the night there.

The staff as friendly, provided us with extra sheets and offered help to set up an extra bed for my kid. The food was good and the pool area and the view was quite nice, we spent most of the time outside.

The room seemed not equipped for our stay. it was missing a place to hang towels after going to the pool, the bathroom seemed not to be fully finished - missing a bathroom mirror, a toilet paper holder, a shower curtain or a place to put a hand towel. Some basic toiletries were not provided (no hand towel, shower gel or shampoo). Also no window or door that can be opened to the outside in the entire room ( we wanted fresh air and it was not an option)
