The location and the wildlife

It looks unfinished. Wires you could visibly see throughout the room. The bed was so high you needed a stool to get into it. We never met the owners. There was a tornado warning in the area, we weren't even made aware of. TV took forever to come on. Just felt very unwelcoming.

The property was beautiful. The owners were awesome. They answered any questions we had and gave us space to enjoy ourselves.

I couldn't think of anything we didn't like.

Beautiful, tranquil property in a gorgeous location. The space was a very nice pool house facing the pool which was available for use whenever you wanted (we didn't use it). The owner was easygoing and gave us our privacy.

The space, although outfitted with everything you need and in a beautiful location, there were a few things that we felt needed attention. The kitchen island had some trash and random room cleaning supplies in the open-faced cabinet, the bathroom towels were old/rough and smelled musty, there were ants on the floor of the bathroom and the streaming services on TV didn't work. Overall these small things didn't affect our stay, but I left thinking if they were improved it would help elevate the experience.

We were driving across Missouri on a cross-country road trip and needed a place to stay in the vicinity of Springfield, MO. We found Deer Run Estate and were delighted with our stay. The owner was welcoming, and the room provided a peaceful stop away from the highway traffic for a good night's rest. Our room was large, with a full kitchen and comfortable bed.

Everything was wonderful. The property is beautiful, and was in a convenient and accessible location. The host was amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. The space is comfortable and we would be happy to return. We definitely recommend this wonderful escape for anyone staying in the area!

Beautiful, quiet and great atmosphere just minutes from the metropolitan center of Marshfield. Well-equipped room. Lovely pool.

We would have enjoyed a king-sized bed.

This was my first experience staying anywhere other than a motel. It was beyond perfect. The host was very accommodating, friendly and helpful.
