Beautiful Room near JFK and close to LaGuardia Airports

My advice is not to rent this room. The advertisement does not make it clear that you must check in before 11 PM. In fact, the directions state that you need to ask for a door code, which implies you let yourself in at any hour (only under “house rules” it does say that check-in is from 4:30 – 11:00 PM but this is not adequate to indicate you must be there by 11:00 PM). When I asked for the door code because my flight was supposed to arrive from overseas at 10:30 PM and I had to go through immigration, at fist the proprietor ignored my request. When I asked a second time their answer was extremely rude and unprofessional, and they only stated I had to be there by 11:00 PM (they did not give me the code). When I told them I could not be there by 11:00 as my flight was supposed to land at 10:30 and I had to go through immigration, and asked them what would happen if I arrived past 11:00, they would not give me a straight answer, but again answered with an extremely rude response. When I got Booking.com help involved, they were still rude and would not give me the door code. And then I read the reviews and found out they actually won’t open the door past 11 PM (several have been left out in the cold after paying in advance) and my suspicions were justified, so I had to book another room and lost my money. This 11 PM rule is a scam – it should be stated clearly in their main advertisement that they won’t let you in past 11 PM – it is not enough to state under “House Rules” that check-in is until 11 PM. In short, they are so rude and unprofessional they should not be a Booking.com partner.

Undeniably under the flight path. Fine for me, but might be an issue for light sleepers. I didn't realize it was a shared bath, but that presented no problems at all since the other guest was on a completely different schedule.

Only book this housing if you are certain that you will arrive for a check in before 11pm. My flight was delayed 30 minutes which was enough for me to arrive at 1130pm and nobody was there. Hosts do not use cell phone number which is on booking website (I tried to reach them to politely ask if somebody will meet my late arrival) and they sent me an email via booking.com during my afternoon flight to JFK so I found out that I couldn't spend the night when I landed. The point is that do not take risk of paying the non refundable amount in advance because hosts will not meet everybody's requests and definitely won't give you your money back.
