Waipi'o Lodge

Amazing! The tent exceeded our expectations with an amazing view of the ocean in a magical place. The interior of the tent was top notch- very clean and the bed was hotel quality.

Such a beautiful place, loved the outdoor kitchen, amazing hosts!

This is a modest accommodation with shared living room/ kitchen and bath. The beds are comfortable and the ocean view spectacular. If you are looking for a resort this is not for you. But if you are looking to have a more Hawaiian experience at a good price this lodge could be for you.

The host was friendly and the lodge area, which is the basement of the house, is decorated tastefully. The location is great and overall it was a nice experience with having an area to cook and sit outside with a view of the ocean.

Conversations and upstairs family activities can be heard from downstairs bedroom where I stayed.

The flex kitchen space, common areas and outdoor grounds were great; very inviting. The amenities were thoughtful and addressed the potential needs of the guests and were much appreciated. Free oranges and macadamia nuts, what's not to like? It was also a nicely quiet location, with ease of access to nearby village and Waipio Valley Lookout.

Didn't have the opportunity to meet the owner Greg but we did have a brief phone chat upon checking in as his doorbell links with his cell phone (handy!). He was friendly and accommodating. The blinds in my room were somewhat out of whack so they did not close well enough in one section but that was a minor issue overall.

The location was close to town, making it easy to go out for meals. The house was right off the main road, making it easy to find. The owner was onsite and available to answer questions. We rented all 3 rooms and sharing the living room felt as if we rented the entire floor. Very comfortable and the owners were very nice.

we were invited to pick and eat fruits and nuts from the Garden. Sitting outside there ist a beautiful view in the sea. The tents in the garden to rent look really fancy and have enough space to hang out.

we rented the rooms inside the house, they are not really suitable for relaxing holidays. It's dump and has little sunlight. In the wooden shower there are little mushrooms growing between the boards. The interieur (e.g. doors and electricity) isn't in a good shape. We stayed a couple of days there since we'd intented to hike Waimea Valley. However, for two years now tourists are not allowed anymore to go down there.
