Beautiful location by a lake and quiet

The location on the lake was very pretty. I managed to sleep after I requested the air conditioner control to turn it on.

I booked a room with a view of the lake that was 30-40% more expensive than the other lovely hotels I booked in Romania and it was my worst! . The hotel room was dark and dingy and with door closed, the side-angle view of lake disappeared! The room and drain smelt like it hadn’t been used in a while, and the door to the old fridge in my room was just hanging there, so fridge was useless. The manager didn’t seem interested! When I arrived, the place was deserted and spooky, and I was plagued with insects while waiting. I understand it was “out of season” and I was told after booking that dining and bar facilities would not be available but there is literally nothing around there. They could have given a better room since none others were taken, and some juice or cold filtered water at breakfast would have been nice!

The minute I walked into the room I had been assigned to my spirits were lifted by the cheery colors which had been used to decorate the room. This was a great place to stay but it is outside town and unless you eat in the on-site restaurant, there aren't any other choices near by. The wifi worked well and breakfast (which was included in the rate) was fantastic. I highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again if I return to this area of Romania.
