Absolutely lovely stay in a sweet local apartment with modern upgrades. Charming building, spacious, bright, clean, well-equipped apartment with thoughtful boho decor. Free parking on street. Large, clean and comfortable - perfect for two night (or more) stay. Great location for walking Figueira da Foz beach, shops and restaurant. This booking exceeded expectations! Host was communicative and friendly and had great recommendations for restaurants, bars and beaches. Highly recommend family run Mar A Vista for traditional grilled sardines.

Regarding previous comment about intense room fragrance, we have found this to be common in Portuguese homes. If you are sensitive to scent you can move scent containers into a cupboard or drawer during your stay and the fragrance is much reduced. Problem solved. Construction next door wasn’t underway on the weekend., so we had a very peaceful stay.

This is a real cozy place! It's absolutely tidy, nicely furnished and has everything you could ask for. The bathroom has a very modern feel to it and outside are laundry facilities. Much love and care went into the decoration of the room(s) and into making the guests feel welcome ... little things like a nice bottle of water and two glasses in the fridge, for example, were highly appreciated. The "Villa" is very close to the beach ... just a 3 min walk. As it is situated second row behind a row of hotels, you can't actually see the beach and the street is not too picturesque. BUT the great plus of the villa is that it's a very beautiful little retreat ... as soon as you close the gate and shut off the street you step into a lovely quiet little yard and find yourself in "another world". A perfect place to let the evening fade out with a glass of wine and a book on your knees. Can't actually think of a better place to stay in Figueira. Highly recommendet! And thanks to Lucinda for being so lovely and helpful with advice and recommendations.

Wonderful location, very close to the beach and restaurants. You can park in front of the house, but it's really narrow... In the room it is also very quiet, so we loved being able to sleep in late. The washing machine proved very useful to us.

One of the few remarks was the television - it was so slow I thought it wasn't working at first.
