Casa do Avô Horácio

Horacio was very attentive, helpful and provided guidance on many topics. We were able to do laundry, he provided first aid and lots of advice for walking the Camino!

La struttura è molto ben tenuta, è la casa di Horàcio, ma per un giorno Horàcio ti fa sentire come se fossi a casa tua, coccolandoti e dandoti un sacco di consigli e aiuti per i giorni successivi del cammino, se non sapete dove andare ve lo consiglio vivamente Mi sono trovato come a casa… veramente fantastico

The host was so very accommodating. The house is charming with so many personal touches. The option to wash our clothes in a regular machine with detergent was such a benefit to us and the pool was a delightful place to relax.

This didn’t bother us at all but some people may be put off by the spiral staircase between the rooms and the bathroom.

Everything was wonderful! Horacio and his wife are the most lovely and kindest hosts I've ever met. Horacio messaged me to say I could check in early which was great as I arrived early. There are only two rooms with a shared bathroom. I was lucky enough to have the beautiful garden and exceptionally clean swimming pool to myself in the afternoon. The room is lovely and spacious and spotlessly clean as is the bathroom. You do have to go down a spiral staircase to get to the bathroom which was not a problem for me but may be for some people. Horacio even showed me how to tie my shoe laces correctly to stop friction and I must say it really did help! He also suggested I change to the Litoral route as flatter and more beautiful.... so pleased I did. There is a lovely restaurant and pharmacy just a few metres away. Great place to stay if walking the Camino as not out of the way.

There is nothing not to like. This place is perfect.

Wonderful stay along El Camino! Horácio is the perfect host and one of the nicest people I have ever met. The guest house is so lovely, and has a beautiful pool to rest your feet in after a long trek. Maybe the best guest house experiences I have ever had.

Beautiful place, and Horacio couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend. The best place I've stayed in since starting my Camino in Lisbon.

The host welcomed us with water, home-made marmalade, crackers, and lots of helpful information. He and his wife were very kind and personable.

The stairwell is quite steep. It was no problem for us, but those with mobility challenges should be aware.
