"An oasis to enjoy"

We needed a place to stay for a wedding at the last moment. Cussonia Country Home was near by so we booked it. Then when a part of our trip was lost, we decided to book 2 additional days and hoped for the best. What a gem of a find, a real blessing that fell into our laps. You know the ones that might be off the beaten path (down a dirt road), that opens to an oasis of awe inspiring bliss! A blessing that we can not be thankful enough for. After the drive down the dirt road, you are welcomed by a short drive from the secure gate entrance to the parking area. We entered through the archway, encountered koi ponds on both sides and entered the main foyer to a stunning atrium in the center of the room. Walking into this home was like walking into an orchestra of beauty, charm, peace and elegance. Our room was overwhelming of delight. Spacious, over looking the double pools, scenery, hot tub, bar area, lounging areas and billiards. Meals are taken with the warmth and ambiance from the fireplace. Staff was terrific. Very friendly, informative and caring. We were treated like royalty. Meals were fabulous, professionally plated and colorful. Prepared to order, good portions and straight from the kitchen. Breakfast not only do you have a meal if you chose to and there is always the display of fruits, cheese, meat, rusk and bread to enjoy. You have a choice of your teas, coffee, juice or water. What a bounty to enjoy. If you are wanting the new modern cookie cutter hotel, then this is not for you. However, if you want a private oasis carved out of the countryside filled with peace….then don’t pass up on Cussonia Country Home. The oasis of the countryside beauty.

Wish we could have stayed longer.
