The pictures don’t quite do justice. This is a beautiful property with really stylish interior. We are very demanding ourselves regarding our living environment and Marko’s rooms have been just up and beyond that standard. He really did a fantastic job in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. The atmosphere of the rooms is magic - total silence and permanent cool temperature with really comfy beds. Nothing beats a good night’s sleep!

There isn’t anything to complain about, really. Yes, breakfast as an option would be nice to have on site but it was clear from the very beginning that it is not offered and Marko suggested a nearby place for that which we did not take, eventually.

Beautiful space and garden. They were so helpful in getting us a dinner reservation that was the best meal we had on a 21 day trip through Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia.

I recently stayed at the wine cellar and it was a great experience! The place was authentic and cozy, and I felt like I was in a home away from home. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a place to stay that's comfortable and inviting.

One unique feature of the wine cellar is that the bathroom doesn't have a door, which adds to the charm of the place.

The host Marko was excellent. He explained a lot about the area, the history and talking to him was a pleasure. The room did have coffee/tea facilities and was spacious. It was a wine cellar so it had virtually no natural light but that is to be expected. The hot water worked fine but it did get stuffy at night and we had to open the door to let in some air and coolness.

Overall it was an interesting experience. I would like to add some constructive comments that would make it more comfortable for future travellers to this wine cellar room. The shower has to be held by hand while in operation. Putting in a bracket at an average height would make for a more comfortable showering experience. The entrance to the bathroom has a low overhang. I banged my head rather hard at night going to the bathroom. I am taller than average but a warning sign as well as a padding would avoid injury. Lastly, with no ventilation, a tower fan would help.

The pros for the Wine Cellar Room are that the room and bathroom are spacious. Sleep quality is great - it's the quietest and darkest room I've ever stayed in. The host, Marko, was great - very friendly, with great dining suggestions, and super-responsive. The concept and design are nice - it feels modern and new.

The cons are the fact that the room doesn't have windows, so it feels a little cave-like if you spend much time there [it was a wine cellar, after all]. Also, it's out in the countryside and so there are no restaurants to walk to, no attractions there - you must get into your car to go anywhere. It's a little bare-bones at this price point (80 euro per night). No breakfast, no lotion, no extra towels, no room refresh/cleaning, and you can't flush toilet paper.
