Travellers Diary Guesthouse

Took two nights stay so i can fully rest. But staff just came in and switch off my aircond at 12noon. It was so hot in the afternoon I suffocated. I thought it was policy or something so i bear with it. Finally at 3pm I cant stand it, i switch it back on. Bird shit and lizard shit were everywhere.

- Keine Schallisolierung und Moschee direkt gegenüber - Internet im Zimmer mittelmäßig schnell

Location was good. In the heart of chinatown near the mosque, but far away enough from the bustling tourist areas. Decent restaurants nearby, and easy to find. The host John was nice. Decent size inside, with places to dry clothes, and filter water from the tap. The showers were also not bad. Good air con in the dorm room, and lockers too.

The mosquitos were a big problem. Though a coil was burning they constantly pestered me in the downstairs area. They weren't as bad in the dorm room but you have to be on guard. There was a smell of drains downstairs. Had to self check in, which was ok, but the host wasn't around much. Having to lock/unlock the door each time you left/entered the property was a bit inconvenient. The beds were also super creaky!

Good location... Room was clean but the ground floor was just like a lodge facility..
