Travellers Diary Guesthouse

it was in a good part of the city, walkable to everything but at a distance where it wasn't loud at night. strong aircon. decent sized room. not bad for one night.

the walls are paper thin so you hear everything from other rooms. the bathroom wasn't dirty, but it didn't feel clean. the bed wasn't the comfiest. given the price, it should've been a little better quality or alternatively, cheaper.

The owner was very kind and helpful. I was lucky because I booked a bed in dorm and for one night I was alone. There is washing machine which you can use for small fee. It’s very close to the city centre. In the room there is a fan and also good working AC, there is also a locker to lock your belongings. As far I know it’s much better to book a room directly from the owner than from portal (portal is charging some taxes which are not legal so if you have possibility just go directly to the hostel and book a place directly from owners).

In the room there are 4 beds and there is no privacy (no curtains etc) so just keep it in mind.

Location is good, and the owner of the hostel help us a lot, really cares about the people who host and makes you feel at home.

The best host I ve ever had. I needed to go to the hospital and stay the night there and he came visiting me to bring me snacks and my charging cable. In general he carries a lot about the guests. The room is very clean, bright and I could rest perfectly from my accident there.

We loved our stay at the Travellers Diary. Our room was comfortable with a nice big bed, air con and a great bathroom with hot water. There are facilities for making hot drinks and a fridge. It's a minute from the guest house to temple Street, the night market and local cafés. Jo is the best thing about this property. He is kind and very helpful. Would highly recommend.

The place is clean, quiet and very well located. Is perfect to rest and enjoy Melaka by foot, exploring the Chinatown zone. Jo is very nice and kind. I really recommend this accomodation.
