Location was convenient

Owner was verbally abusive. So upsetting we were unable to sleep. She charged us an extra fee in cash that no one else in Romania charged us. She insulted us repeatedly. We arrived at 13:00 to check in early but no staff was available to check in. We saw only guests coming and going. So after a while of waiting we left. We traveled outside of Braşov to sightsee and hike. When we returned the owner yelled and insulted us for arriving late. She denied that we had already stopped by earlier to check in. We described in detail the inside of the lobby: tapestry, beer stein collection broom leaning against the wall by door, grocery advertisements on the table. The room was dirty with dirty dishes and trash. Carpets on floors were filthy, doorways and stairway was so low it was dangerous to walk to and from room. Very noisy environment all night long. Pillows were made of plastic which were extremely uncomfortable. The worst experience of our 3-week Balkan tour or of any property owner across all our travels over all Europe , South America and Africa. No one has ever verbally abused us like this owner. She threatening to lock us out if I didn’t apologize well enough and it was too late to find another place to stay that night. The worst experience in my adult life to be repeated 5x complaints that we arrived too late. (1900) We sent her a receipt from next door to prove we had arrived earlier at 1300 for check in. Kronhaus should invest in technology like most establishments so that old fashion keys and personal service is antiquated. That would have save owner from commuting to the property for checking in guests. The house is dangerous to anyone of average to tall height as well. Parking was almost impossible given the size of lot.

Posizione eccellente, a pochi passi dal centro, parcheggio nel cortile interno compreso nel prezzo, la proprietaria è gentilissima e molto simpatica, parla bene l'italiano. Struttura nel complesso confortevole e molto particolare, con ampia zona comune. Ci sono un po' di scale da fare per raggiungere le stanze, è chiaramente specificato nella descrizione e per noi non è stato nessun problema, ma se si hanno problemi di mobilità è da tenere in considerazione, inoltre per me che sono alto la camera col bagno in zona sottotetto non è comodissima, col senno di poi avrei dovuto scegliere un'altra camera della struttura. Comunque struttura consigliata.

Wonderful! The host is a remarkable woman, with loads of advice to give. If you want recommendations on what to do and where to go, just ask. The house has character and personality, and is very well located, only 3 minutes from the Council Square and in the old town center. Impeccable cleanliness, quiet rooms and the beds were extremely comfortable, it felt like sleeping on a cloud. We will come again when we are in Brașov!

The manager was very nice. Room was big and clean. Very practical location right in the historic centre.

The location is central, very close to the downtown (the old town). We can walk to everywhere we need to go. Every room is different, but all decorated with a lot of paintings, antique furniture etc., which make us fell that we were in a gallery or a museum. No breakfast is provided. We bought our own food in a nearby small grocery store about 3-4 minutes walk. The most favorable thing of this place is that there is a parking place in the court yard, which is very rare in the downtown area.

The room in the left-hand side of the attic where my husband and I stayed has some problem in the troilite. First of all, the toilette bowl is sitting next to a window with no curtain. Secondly, the toilette leaking a very bad smell. We did not find out this on the first day because the whole room was heavily perfumed with air fresher. But the second day, whenever we went out and came back to the room, the smell was easily detected. Thirdly, every stairway has a door, and we are told to lock every door when we go out and come back. My husband thinks it is hazardous and not reasonable to lock the two stairway doors if there is a fire.
