We stayed in the Burgundy suite. Honestly we were disappointed with our stay. 1. Overpriced, bad value for money. One can easily get better value for half the price - that has been our experience at least. 2. The website and the display of the establishment on Booking.com was misleading, displaying pictures of a common room which we were denied access to and advertising of laundry services that were apparently not offered. No genuine 24 hour reception - we got woken by guests in early hours because reception wasn't there. 3. Creepy - we were locked in our rooms without any prior communication that hosts would do so. We had access to another entrance but it would have been nice if the hosts told us they were going to lock the inside door - some serious "get out" vibes. 4. the facilities were old and cheap (e.g. the microwave), there were no plugs to charge our phones except in the kitchen making for a hazardous concoction of electronics and water, the toilet seat was broken, the shower head very low (at eye level), and the fridge had a fishy stink.   5. We could hear everything in the room. While being denied access to lounge (common area), we were subjugated to the noise of the personal life of the host such as the clunking of dishes and conversations in the morning. It felt like the personal life of the host, was imposed on the guest - not a good mix in the hotel industry. We tried to raise these issues both verbally and by email but this proved a fruitless exercise. Instead we were met with condescension, going as far as falsely implying that we had broken the toilet seat. My recommendation is that the hosts/ owners align the price to the value - we should have paid half of what we were charged.

The owners are lovely and very friendly. They were very accommodating, even to our extra needs. They made our stay fantastic even when we booked last minute. The staff was so friendly and very helpful.

Check out time was not clear. However we left when we were ready. They really allowed us to relax.
