Blaauw Village Guest House

The location is excellent and very close to the beach and restaurants. The close proximity to Big Bay which is a top kite / surfing spot is very convenient. Milo our host was super friendly and a real pleasure to deal with. The kitchen staff were amazing as well. Breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the ocean was a real treat. The bed was so comfy, I actually want to find out where they got the mattress! Off street parking was an added bonus. Lastly, the small coffee shop by the gate of the guesthouse makes the best coffee ever, and is so convenient first thing in the morning.

The room seemed a lot smaller than the pictures, however this is not the kind of place you will be staying indoors unless the weather is bad, which unfortunately it was, hence the comment. A bad smell filtered into the bathroom (and bedroom) unless the noisy extractor fan was permanently switched on. The cupboard/shelf space was very limited for two people. The bathroom light seemed to switch itself back on at night, which was annoying. There was a lot of old junk (like broken braai grids and hedge frames) in corners on the property, which unfortunately brings down the tone of the stay. All these things wont stop me from staying here again however, but it needs attention.

The hosts and the service staff were really helpful and friendly. We are definitely coming back and taking up those surfing lessons for sure!

We were grateful for the warm welcome and amazing hosts. The coffee shop downstairs was INCREDIBLE and so was the breakfast. No matter the issue, they had a solution.
