The BBQ Guest House

The location is fantastic and the villas themselves (the family room on the beach) are amazing. We also had a deluxe bungalow which was just behind which was nice but a bit less nice than the family ones, plus I am sensitive to noise and I could hear the traffic, a common problem in Bali. The manager was very nice and responsive and organized transport for us and massage which was great. The breakfast was really yummy and a great experience to have it on the beach.

There was a misunderstanding about a fishing trip that the manager organised for us. He sold us a deep water fishing trip (to fish mahi mahi )which is what we paid to the fisherman but the fisherman told my husband and my son that they have to go on ‘trolling’ essentially go up and down close to the shore (for small fish). Not clear what happened, the manager of the guesthouse apologized and was looking into it, but the bottom line is that my son was highly disappointed , they didn’t fish anything paid a high price for essentially different type of experience and we had to go on on our trip that day. Just to pay attention if you go for this experience.

Excellent large bungalow stay right on the beach! Delicious breakfast included and excellent excursions come right to your door! Comfy bed and great air conditioning!

It’s very clean, the garden looks lovely, and it’s right on the beach. You kind of have a private beach, it’s black sand and very clear water, beach beds are provided in front of the guesthouse and there is a cute swing. Even in the rooms in the back, you can hear the ocean waves at night. On the terrace, there is a table where breakfast is served and a small bed to relax. They make very good coffee. And the breakfast itself is very good as well (we had eggs and toast and pancakes and fruit). We can also recommend to take a private snorkel trip, the price is very fair and you can take your time (be sure to protect properly against sun burn). Other very affordable and local restaurants that we loved were Warung Amsha (a 5 minute walk on the beach) and Warung Ole. Almost forgot to mention, the bathroom is very spacious and the shower is good 😊

Love BBQ guest house, so quiet, a real chill out place. This was our second stay. Will be back. Staff were absolutely amazing, bed really comfortable, shower awesome.

Flask of hot water! A small kettle would be better. But that isn’t a criticism. We are an older couple who like hot tea in the early hours, flask water not really hot enough by then.

When we booked one of the larger rooms in the front, we had our own private veranda and balcony that looked directly over an uncrowded, black sand beach. We couldn't ask for better accommodations. The smaller room that we had earlier was very nice too. Unbelievable value. Not to mention Kadek, who was the perfect host.

The location by the beach is amazing, cafes and shops are in a walking distance. I like everything about my stay here. Beds are comfortable, breakfast tasty. Once, we had a fish barbecue for our dinner, and it was exceptional. Staff is friendly and attentive.

The access to the hotel is little fall behind to the current standard without proper road.
