Good emplacement in the center and calm, good accommodation and breakfast , price is good and people there nice

Unfortunately, even for a very low price (180k/night) I was a bit disappointed with a condition of the room. It had two main issues for me: 1) humidity. Room feels and smells extremely humid, to the point that bed linen feels humid too. I’ve stayed at many budget hotels around Bali, and therefore can compare and insist on that something needs to be done about it here. It was a major reason that made the stay uncomfortable. 2) blanket did not have a cover (bed linen), which I find unhygienic and therefore I wouldn’t use it. I hope the owners can take this comments for improvement, as a place has truly a great potential.

The location was perfect in Ubud market. The family were very friendly and helpful. They organised a day of temple sightseeing and a great cooking class.

Indy House felt like the quintessential traditional Balinese stay; I absolutely enjoyed my stay here and I’m glad I extended an extra 2 days. The location is ideal, especially if you’re wanting to stay in Central Ubud. Located in the Center of the Ubud Market, there is no shortage of places to go and things to do. I loved standing out on the balcony outside my room and watching the storms come and go. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and felt personalized. The family was also incredibly generous, gracious and heartwarming. Putu ensured I was always comfortable and felt at home, which I did from arrival to departure. Had I not already had my next stay reserved, I would have stayed even longer. For it to be in the center of Ubud, it was so quiet, as if the street were much further out. Directly across from Indy House is Warung Lokal, which instantly became my go-to place every day I was there (so delicious!). I also loved that Putu Jr offered to give a day-long bike tour of Ubud. I didn’t opt in for it, but it was a nice gesture for if I were newly arriving in Bali. Since I had already been in Bali for a month by this point, I was fine exploring on foot. All in all, it is such a great place to be.

One thing I’ll note is that I didn’t how compact my room would be. It totally works for a solo traveler, and having a fan helps; I just know to request the deluxe room if I want more space.

The door closing is very unconventional.

Beautiful room with balcony aswell, air-conditioning worked well and the bed was comfortable. The hosts are lovely and also offer tour services. Location was perfect as ita just off the main road so central but a little less loud.

Some of the furniture is a bit delicate so be careful when sitting on the chairs outside

The hosts Putu,his wife Devi and their sons are really kind and helpful and they went the extra mile to make my stay pleasant and memorable.The breakfast with included fruits and delicious banana pancakes was great.The location is excellent,in Ubud art market and within walking distance to Ubud palace and many other sights and many restaurants,cafes and mini markets.I had a lovely stay.Matur Suksma to Putu and his family for their warmth and hospitality.

Indy House has been my favorite place I have stayed in Ubud ever. I kept extending my stay and stayed here for a total of 10 days. The breakfast every morning was amazing with fresh fruit, coffee or tea, and delicious eggs with toast or banana pappel, or banana pancakes. The staff are the kindest people I have ever met. I felt so safe here as a solo female traveler. The location is absolutely perfect and is walking distance to everything. It’s very quiet on the property and the beds are very comfortable. Don’t forget to ask about their service for the airport drop off and pick up, they have the best prices and amazing service!! I wish I could stay here longer!
