Critz Cross

The place was very beautiful and quiet. The hosts are amazing. We had a wonderfull time and we'll definitely come back.

From the first smiling welcome to our last breakfast, we had a truly wonderful stay at Critz Cross. The farm complex has been beautifully and sensitively restored, and our room had the delight of a glazed verandah to sit in, overlooking the courtyard and the country beyond. We had the luck to be staying for 12 nights, and the food - grown mostly by our hosts and otherwise sourced locally - was beyond excellent, most especially their own cheese. It was the best of traditional Transylvanian fare, with imaginative twists which always hit the right spot (not forgetting each glass of palinka!). It was a perfect spot to relax, and we had the chance to explore the region at the right pace as we got to know some fascinating places, helped enormously by the generosity of our hosts' advice and gentle recommendations. The only possible downside would be that if too many people get to know quite how good Critz Cross is, then it would lose its delightful character!

Absolutely nothing!

Spacious and pleasant rooms, interesting local artwork, engaging and helpful hosts, and delicious breakfast and dinner — especially the cheese they make themselves, all in what felt like an authentic Saxon village.

The house is cosy, nice and has authentic rooms. Very clean and excelent hosts!

Locația foarte frumoasă, curată și liniștită- aproape de biserica fortificată- o gospodărie săsească reamenajată oferind un echilibru între elemente tradiționale și exigențele confortului modern cu accent pe materiale naturale. Mic dejun echilibrat, foarte gustos și sățios cu produse din surse locale. Totul însuflețit de gazdele extrem de îndatoritoare cărora nu le pot mulțumi îndeajuns pentru eforturile de a ne asigura o ședere cât mai plăcută!
