Muhsin Villa - Galle Fort

It’s location is in the heart of the Galle Fort, and the perfect location for restaurants, boutique stores, and especially for walks along the Fort’s rampart walls in the evenings,

Location is par excellence. It is central to everything. Many shops and restaurants within 50m. Room was small but good. AC, fan, hot water everything worked. There was a plug point near bed, which was very useful. Room lights could be switched on/off from the bed post. Bathroom had a shower. It was basic and clean. Checking in process was easy and fast.

Eventhough the listing said that it provides toiletries, only a small cake of soap was provided. No shampoo, bodywash nothing, Toilet paper roll was about 1/4 of the roll and most of the time there was no one manning the desk on 1st floor to ask for anything, Further no water is provided eventhough their own website shows mineral water. I had to buy all toiletries and water for my stay. Breakfast was not available as may be I was the only guest, but there is a Barista just around the corner so it didnt matter much to me.

Dirty bathroom and walls, sheet was not big enough, the staff were playing videos loudly on their phone late into the evening outside the rooms, rooms are above a jewellers and every time I came back the man would ask me to buy something which was very annoying as a guest

Convenient location to go around the fort. The room was comfy with ac, hairdryer.

My second visit to Muhsin, a simple but lovely hotel/pension inside the fort. Staff are great and have very good English. Bed was comfortable and the shower had a strong flow. Breakfast made to order with tea, fruit and a delicious omelette.

There was nothing I didn't like, but no TV or kettle in the room may put off some guests.
