Hellatún Guest House!

The property had everything we needed and the hot tub was great!

The only negative thing was that we couldn’t use apps like Netflix on the tv.

House was very spacious. The beds were the most comfortable I’ve had in Iceland. Location was great for northern lights.

Host communicated in timely manner and reached out to let us know about the bad road/westher conditions predicted. Easy check in. Accommodations were roomy, full kitchen with fridge and freezer, beds were comfortable, loved the hot tub. Convenient to the Golden Circle.

We wanted a place that was out of the city and more remote so we could just step outside and look up to see the lights. Unfortunately, the neighbors had all their lights on, as well as Christmas lights and there were 3 or 4 light posts so way too much light pollution. The hot tub is on the opposite side of the house where there was little light but it is surrounded by trees as well on the south side of the house. So, unfortunately we had to walk a ways down the road or drive away from the house to see the Northern lights. We did see them but had hoped to be able to step outside, step back inside to get warm and step out again but that was not possible.

Wonderful location to view the northern lights from your own private hot tub, we where/dryer on site (a life saver midway through our trip) clean modern bathroom, warm comfortable guest house

Unfortunate that there is a big bright light at the fromt between two properties that never turns off - not a problem for sleeping (room darkening shades) but was hoping it would turn off at some point for northern lights viewing enhancement - but not the first house owners fault - but we still saw the northern lights

La ubicación muy buena cerca de Selfos y Hella, está en una zona con unas cuantas casas al lado. La casa es amplia y tiene de todo, incluso nos dejaron champú y gel de baño, pastillas para lavavajillas y lavadora. Las camas muy cómodas. El baño tiene suelo radiante. La calefacción calienta enseguida toda la casa. Para ver auroras te alejas un poco de la casa y encuentras sitios a oscuras.

La habitación de 2 camas no tiene armario ni cajoneras. Pensamos que dejaban albornoz para el jacuzzi pero no. La ducha no traga bien y estaba llena de pelos. Las ventanas son antiguas y en alguna entra un poco de aire, pero la calefacción es muy buena y no notas frío.
