Kandyan White Holiday Homes

Leider wurden unsere Rucksäcke durch die Busfahrt nach Kandy mit einer stinkenden Flüssigkeit sehr nass und wir mussten bei Ankunft in der Unterkunft alles waschen. Der Host war sehr hilfreich und hat uns sofort gezeigt, wo wir unser Zeig aufhängen können und er hat sogar eine Waschmaschine für uns gewaschen.

An oasis of calm with a great view of Kandy. Very friendly and helpful owner. It's a steep walk up, but worth it.

Not easy to find the location for many drivers. A sign on the road would probably help.

Es war sehr sauber (vor allem das Bad)! Besonders gut gefallen hat uns die Gastfreundlichkeit.

Очень тяжело добираться, хоть и территориально находится недалеко от центра. Пешком с чемоданами - это отдельное приключение. Такой крутой подъём, что не каждый водитель тук - тука согласится вас туда повезти, особенно с багажом. Как минимум это не очень безопасно.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The host is attentive and could accommodate all our needs. He helped to plan our stay, arranged tuk and taxi as well as the train tickets to Ella. The location a little bit away from the city in a quiet place is very good. It is quite a climb up the hill from Kandy centre though, but we walked up and down several times and this is completely doable. Alternatively, there are plenty of tuk drivers eager to serve you. Leaving out the footpath around the lake, Kandy is generally not a comfortably walkable city due to heavy traffic and narrow streets.
