Ayu Love & Harmony Guest House

The property and Irwin the host are the great. The kitchenette and large fridge means you can do basic cooking. We cooked noodles, boiled eggs etc. After weeks of eating out it was nice to cook something. The room is nice, included a comfy chair and a tv with many channels is very welcome. The tv included channels from many languages and subtitles. Irwin was always available and super super friendly. Renovations were happening next door to us which we didn’t even hear or notice as they were so quiet and respectful. I think these renovations are now finished. There is also a closed door into the area, providing an extra layer of privacy and protection and stops dogs etc wandering in. The pool is a lovely added luxury.

Housekeeping was randomly done on our last full day. However they only changed sheets and pillows, not towels. Also we weren’t informed of this and had left the place messy(sorry Irwin) and important documents, cards etc out as there is no safe. Location is slightly inconvenient as it is other side of bypass road from beach.

Ayu's Guest House is a little Oasis. There are only a few rooms, each with a terrace facing the pool. The water and the greenery ensures a relaxing vibe. No noice from the close-by main road either. The place is a bit outside of the tourist centre, but the centre and beach are in walking distance. It is clean and offers everything for basic needs. If we had a question or needed something, the kind staff was always there to help.

Kitchen utilities are basic, but enough for preparing simple foods. When we asked for an extra knife, it was no problem to get one.

Beautiful guest house with lovely garden & pool. The room even had it's own kitchenette. Erwin is absolutely lovely & works so hard, doing everything from reception to garden maintenance & cleaning the rooms every day. It is located on a quiet residential street, with several cafes not far away, & small local shops a few steps away. Great value for money & I really loved it. .

It may not suit everbody as its location is west of the bypass, which is very busy & difficult to cross on foot. I took a taxi to the beachside (33k rp) instead. If you have a scooter it would be much easier of course.

Very nice pool although suddenly goes quite deep. Irwin keeps the property very neat, tidy and clean. Great having a small kitchenette.

When people in next unit smoke it can impact on sitting outdoors. Two young kids were screaming and being noisy at 7:30 in the morning. Property seems a bit small for families and kids to really enjoy themselves without disturbing other people who are also there to relax.
