Boyne House Slane

Room was very good. Well presented with everything you need. Breakfast was also very good, although service to take order was slow.

Check in procedure was a farce. A gated property, but no one answered the call button or phone call for 20 mins. Once inside, you then need to pick up room key from a sister hotel. Not ideal in heavy rain. It would be really useful to inform guests of this in advance, and give details of codes by email. Such a shame as the accommodation is very good, but overall experience soured by the first impression.

Clean and spacious, breakfast was quite good.

Checking in had to be done at a different building. No information was provided about it, nobody was waiting for us at the property, the gate bell wasn't answered. When I called the property in the afternoon to arrange our arrival there was no answer, calls at arrival weren't answered either. Luckily another guests drove in after a while and told us how to proceed.

Check in at the hotel was a bit awkward with parking and crossing the very busy street.
