SU house Koh Phangan

That was the best and most relaxing 6 days of my trip so far. Su is the nicest landlady I've ever met - she was extremely helpful and friendly.

Don't believe the bad reviews - this place is great!

The place we finally got were good

what I did not like was the fact the the owner was super rude and unprofessional in every way. I booked 1 night and just asked him the day before if me and my friend could check in early. He immediately said that he did not want us as customers and said that we should cancel our booking for asking that question. I wrote back with kindness and said “no worries, sorry If I offended you, I will meet you at the check in time” The owner kept insisting that he did not want us there, because we were not friendly. This makes no sense, just because I asked him a basic question. Me and my friend got so worried that he would cancel our boking, so we contacted booking.com. The owner contacted us the same day couple of hours before the official check in time, and said he moved us to a different place. So confusing.

At first the owner was nice and helped me out with stuff but i complained about the smell in my room (cat pee) she went in diffence mode and said it had to be the restaurant behind the hut. And than said you can just check out. She didnt even come check in the room (it is high season so it is difficult to find an other place) she repeated that i can check out and didn't speak to me the rest of the stay. The last day i need to check out and try to find here and ask here if she could arrange a taxi i had to do that myself. (The day before she helped some other guests to get a taxi). I thought the price was low because it is on the opposite side of the island. But the rooms are very dirty and stink. (There where stuff laying in the room like an old toothbruch and old socks) And the land lady is only nice to you when your not complaining about anything. Better to pay a bit more and stay on the other side of island than you also dont have to deal with the corrupt taxi drivers to take you to the pier.

Pool was good nice and hidden a few bars in the area and very close to beach

Not clean in a lot of areas (under bed, behind cabinets) shower was a bit difficult to use

Very nice host, great location and easy access (few minutes walk) to a perfect beach. You also have 3 supermarkets within a very short range (2 min walk). The beach is perfect for little kids because the water is shallow for a long time. The pool is also very nice!

I liked the size of the property and the layout. SU was a really good host, did anything she could for us. The place was very clean.

When we arrived the pool wasn’t in a working state. All of the water was green. Su explained that it wasn’t working and why. This was a major selling point for our visit and was really disappointed that we couldn’t use it. There wasn’t any bed sheets. There were 1 blanket per double bed which wasn’t big enough for 2 people. The bottom sheet of the bed that I used had big tear marks in it.
