Koh Yao Seaview Bungalow

Too many lizards in the bungalow

Prachtig gelegen aan mooie baai met geweldig uitzicht. Bungalows zijn eenvoudig maar alles wat je nodig hebt. Restaurant is prima. Je komt hier voor de rust en natuur.

Wij waren er in April, de warmste maand. Zowel de zee als het zwembad waren vies warm, verkoeling was alleen in de bungalow door de airco. Maar dat is dan ook het enige minpunt.

Het uitzicht vanuit de kamer is fantastisch

Los van het uitzicht echt niet om over naar huis te schrijven. Van kapotte douchestandaard, tot kakkerlakken in de kamer en respectlooze behandeling van het personeel.

We had two rooms. One was a triple with an airconditioner (amazing!) the other was a beachfront bungalow (only a fan, but fabulous view to wake up to). The restaurant was surprisingly possibly one of the best restaurants we have eaten at in Thailand. Large servings, amazing food and real value for money. We liked that Koh Yao Noi (where we stayed), was quiet and basic and all the Thai people we met at the little group of shops were all lovely and so helpful when they noticed my son was unwell (likely from the heat). One lady brought out cool wet wipes and paracetamol, another made him ginger tea. Little things like that make these holiday spots extra special. Seaview also had a pool which was great particularly at low tide when the sea was quite far out.

A little bit isolated without a scooter and couldn't work out how to move around the island. (We were only there for two days and with a close death in their family, things shut and we didn't want to impose during this time of grief). Breakfast was not included however breakfast is available to purchase. :) Great little bakery around the corner too on the main road. Amazing smoothie bowls.

Ystävällinen henkilökunta, rauhallinen ja luonnonläheinen sijainti. Bungalow oli todella siisti ja hyvin varusteltu. Majoituspaikasta sai hoidettua kaiken tarvittavan.

Tyynyt hieman epämukavat, patjat vähän kovat.

I had such a lovely stay here with my 6 year old daughter on our first mother daughter solo trip to Thailand, and it was the perfect place to land. I was hoping for somewhere safe, peaceful, and within easy walking distance to the beach, and this truly nailed it. The family owned bungalows felt very safe, clean, and welcoming, the staff was incredibly accommodating, and I really appreciated the clean food, bottled water in the room, coffee and tea on the bungalow patio in the morning, and the cold AC for sleeping at night. Whether you have a Seaview or Poolview bungalow, the beach is only about 30 seconds to 2 minutes away (2 mins if you walk slow), there are a few restaurants within a couple minutes' walk, scooters are available on site, and the location feels peaceful while still being only about a five minute drive from one of the main restaurant areas. The pool was a great option when my daughter wanted a break from the ocean, and beach massages were offered right on site. What stood out most, though, was the kindness of the family. I lost the scooter key on the beach one day and expected to be charged a lot for a replacement, but they gave me a spare key and did not charge me anything. That really spoke to the kind of honest, caring people they are, and I would absolutely stay here again.
