Mazzola Safari House & Backpacking

The host was really welcoming and totally helpful, when we had questions. We loved staying there. The room was clean, there's a beautiful garden that you can use and everything is really cozy and homy because there are not many people that can stay there (only three rooms). We would really recommend it.

The only thing is that it's a bit of a walk until the next bigger street. You can drive with Bajaji or piki piki to the Hostel but the road is not good. So we just walked to the street and took a motorcycle from there. But it still is okay. I think you walk like 5 to 10 minutes.

Very cozy space and the owner is awesome! Also really good wifi so if you have to work this place is great! Also you could cook your own breakfast which I loved. You can use their ingredients for free or if you want breakfast made you can pay for it.

Innocent, the owner of the place, just safed our whole journey to Tansania. He helped us a lot with understanding the country and it's locals and how to handle some of the difficulties we encountered while travelling there. We also booked our Safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro with him and everything worked just perfect. All of his recommendations turned out to be just the best - from restaurants, to places we visited later on during our trip. And of course the garden of the house is just a dream - quiet and relaxing!

Best place to stay in Arusha! Very kind and helpful staff, best internet connection that I experienced in whole Tanzania, nice backyard with lounge. Highly recommend for those who work remotely.

The best hotel! It’s really cozy and friendly place, the owner met me and he was really polite to me! I felt like at home, it’s really clean inside ❤️

Innocent was very welcoming and encouraged us to treat the space as our home. It was a lovely atmosphere and the room and facilities were excellent and very comfortable. Breakfast was great and Innocent was very helpful when we asked for advice about where to get dinner.

Dear Travellers, I stayed at Mazzola twice: before & after my Safari trip. The owner Innocent was so kind to pick me up from my bus shuttle and drove me to his wonderful place in Mianzini. The house has a total of 3 guestrooms, a huge green & ambient garden, and a beautiful and playful dog named "Castro", who was my companion for the time being there. My room was comfortable and the shower was hot. The Wifi was great. Innocent made a delicious breakfast with eggs, bread, pancakes and yummy fresh fruit juice. He was really everything I guest could ask from their host. Innocent was always welcoming, answered all my questions and helped me with booking an unforgettable safari trip. The place had some other travellers but usually it was just me there. I really enjoyed the quite time out in the cozy space. Thank you Innocent for this laid-back stay and all your help. If you like a quite, chill, green and welcoming hostel: this is for you!

The host, innocent, helps everyone with everything! He made sure I felt safe and also provided laundry service and a lift to the airport. Kindest & most helpful staff I’ve met on my travels! There is always someone there to help you. Very comfy beds & there’s hot water, teas, coffees & cold drinks to buy. If I ever return to Arusha this is where I’d stay again:)
