Shat's Guesthouse Siargao near Beach

Very cheap price but worth it. Location is the best part - a few kilometer ride to Cloud 9 surfing area, just outside is the center of Siargao's tourism area, there is even a quiet beach nearby you can walk to.

Air-conditioning was not so good.

We paid 6500PHP for 4 nights. It’s the cheapest place we could find on short notice. The place was clean and the staff is nice. You’re in the middle of all the restaurants and bars, so if you don’t have a bike, this is a cool place to be because you can walk everywhere for food and drinks. Close to the property, there’s an entrance to the beach that goes through a bar/restaurant. The beach is beautiful.

No hot water and no Wi-Fi. No cellphone service as well. So be prepared to be a little “off the grid” if you stay here. Very noisy because you’re in the middle of the nightlife scene. Bars have no scheduled closing time, at least on the 4 days we stayed, they closed at different times everyday. Last day was the worst, we had a van picking us up at 4AM for a ride to the airport, and the party outside never stoped. Locals were still having fun and you could hear the noise inside the room.

It is near to commercial establishments in the area. Just walking distance
