Caldeira Guesthouse

We had a truly wonderful stay at Caldeira Guesthouse — the location is magical, and the atmosphere makes you feel at home from the very first moment. David, the host, was always kind and available, ready to help with anything we needed. He even offered us a ride back to our car with nothing more than a smile in return. Highly recommended for anyone who wants an authentic and peaceful experience in Fajã da Caldeira do Santo Cristo.

Everything was excellent. The location is just magic if you enjoy quietness and nature and all the staff was super friendly and helpful during our stay. We will definitely return!

Caldeira Guesthouse is a paradise at the end of the trail to Santo Cristo. Everything is relaxed and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful and works together as a family to make every guest comfortable from meals to cleaning to transfers and other helpful favors. Everything is clean, breakfasts and dinners are not to be missed, surfboards and wetsuits are available to the guests. Good kitchen facilities and organization to cook lunch, snacks, or other meals outside breakfast and dinner. Staff was easy to communicate with including to arrange quad transfers which are strongly recommended for anyone with more luggage than a small backpack. Incidental expenses including meals and transfers can be paid by cash or Paypal (also bank transfer but this option might only apply for European bank accounts). Great and restorative stay for anyone, thanks Caldeira Guesthouse!

Heerlijk weg van de bewoonde wereld

De badkamer had iets schoner kunnen zijn en een rustig muziekje tijdens de gezamenlijke maaltijden zou top zijn.

Magnifique emplacement, personnel très sympathique, bon petit-déjeuner.

Die Lage ist absolut magisch. Wir waren noch nie in einem Surfcamp welches so sauber war. Es ist alles mit viel Liebe zum Detail hergerichtet. Egal was man brauchte, die Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit! Als ich krank war habe ich extra einen besonderen selbst gemachten Tee bekommen. Das Essen ist regional und fantastisch. Alles war traumhaft.
