Nestled on top of a hill, the lodge boasts a stunning view of the Buffels Bay that added to its perfect blend of tranquility and thoughtful design. The size of the lodge was just right, creating a serene atmosphere for a relaxing vacation. Highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful retreat with beautiful surroundings. The culinary experience at the lodge was a highlight, with the chef Robin crafting marvelous dishes tailored specifically for us as guests. The meal was a delightful journey of flavors, showcasing the lodge's commitment to providing a personalized and memorable stay. Sam, the owner and hostess, truly elevated our experience. Her attentiveness to our needs and requests was exceptional, and her warm and cheerful demeanor made us feel right at home. Sam's insightful recommendations on nearby places and activities added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. Her dedication to ensuring guests have a wonderful time is truly commendable.

Sam and Gordon are so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The interior of Alkira is spot on and a real luxurious home away from home. Highly recommend not leaving once you arrive, make sure to stay for dinner as the food was delicious.

Our stay at Alkira Lodge was PHENOMENAL. My husband and I visited for our honeymoon earlier this month and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful stay. Samantha, the property manager, was warm, attentive, exceptionally responsive, and overall ensured that our stay was top-notch. She event went as far to upgrade our room to one with an oceanside view to make our honeymoon that much more special. The staff, Prim/James/Chef Robyn were equally amazing. They were kind, honest (we accidentally dropped some money on the ground and it was returned), and were generally the prototype of customer service and the food was insane. Chef Robyn created some of the most delicious meals we've eaten. Even the owner, Andrew, went above and beyond to be kind and helpful. Our car battery died when we were about to head to dinner and not only did he try to assist with jumping the battery, he let us use his car so that we could grab a meal. Finally, SA is experiencing pretty severe load shedding which did not at all impact our stay because Alkira was fully prepared with solar panels and fully charged batteries. Our takeaway is that anyone who has an opportunity to stay at Alkira absolutely should. It is breathtakingly beautiful and offers 5-star service. Definitely one of the best, if not the best stay we've ever experienced.

There was nothing we didn't. Everything was amazing. Head's up that it's in the middle of a secluded wooded area, which added to the charm and beauty for us but if you're not into nature or a remote experience, do some additional research.

Alkira has the ultimate WOW factor. Amazing views, amazing interior , wonderful and perfect host Sam who welcomed us upon arrival with a cool glass of wine, chef Robyn prepared a delicious 3 course dinner on the first evening: we had 3 amazing days at Alkira and will definitely return!
