The room was newly renovated and had a large comfortable bed.

Although our room was accessed through a separate external door (from the outside of the house) it had an internal door (to the rest of the house) that was locked. This door wasn’t sound proof so we heard the other guests talking in the lounge area (the other side of the internal door) until late at night. This doorway should rather have been bricked up to make the room quieter.
