Little Fields Country House and Cottages

Beautiful, friendly service, comfortable with all the touches a family would need. Loved that visitors are encouraged to forage for fruit & veg, flowers and even eggs!

Electric blanket and heater were removed from the unit.

So many positives it's hard to pick one. Loved that Di kept in touch before we arrived to reconfirm the booking. On arrival we received such a warm welcome and a quick run down on the cottage and property. Meeting the cute goat, her baby and the bunnies was so sweet. The gardens are spectacular at this time of the year, everything was in full bloom, a combination of rambling and manicured country gardens. There is a beautiful veggie garden where you can help yourself to to a few things, we picked Spinach and lemons. There is a lovely short and easy walk to the wetlands. We stayed in the Green House, oh my gosh it's so cute and very tastefully decorated with everything you need for a few nights self-catering. It's right at the end of the property so it's very peaceful and you get to share your space with some beautiful roaming chickens. There are a few other lovely little surprises but you'll have to go visit and experience it all.

We thought it was just perfect

The Little Fields Cottages literally nestle in spectacular serene gardens with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Di is an enthusiastic gardener and created a space where exploring the gardens alone is an experience. The cottages are beautiful and filled with character. We stayed in the Tower Cottage, which was well-equipped, impeccably clean, quiet, private, and very comfortable. The highlight was the bathroom with an outdoor shower in a private garden courtyard. Breakfast wasn’t included in the price but we were surprised by a complimentary basket of freshly baked muffins, butter, and strawberry jam. The muffins (likely a secret family recipe) were better than any we’ve ever had. Di and her team were gracious hosts. Little Fields are at the top of our wish list for our next Midlands visit.

Only one thing - that we had to leave. Will be back.

Littlefields communication was excellent, starting from the day I booked. They were very accommodating when we had to change our dates slightly due to weather-related road closures. Every morning we were given a basket of freshly baked and absolutely delicious muffins, which we loved, plus there were home-made rusks, muesli and fresh milk available in the cottage. The property is lovely for a walk around.
