I could not have asked for a more incredible getaway! Peaceful, clean, relaxing and it has everything you could ask for. My partner and I frequent getaway places quite often and we always find one or two things that were "over" advertised, however in this case I feel it is under advertised, you cannot put into words how beautiful and perfect this place is. Look forward to returning!

A warm welcome from Sharon went into a no "frill" explanation tour of the house and how every thing works including our room. I choose the business room option. Other as the pictures on booking.com suggest (coolish) The colours in our room have been very calming and made us immediately relaxing. I was looking for a quiet place so that I could work concentrated. I was able to do exactly that! Sharon even offered the Breakfast room after 10:00h to work with more space and light. I did take her up on that. If you are still a smoker like myself, the room Olive is the one to book. Two steps and you are in designated smoking are. My rate didn't include breakfast, that didn't hold the host back to serve us coffee and toast with butter and jam. She gave us advice where to have dinner and as we agreed a booking at the restaurant and transport was done in no time! Not everything has been perfect but that is more of an external problem. Expect to pay about three times as much as you would pay in Cape Town for a similar distance and usually got a friendly driver.

Totally over priced Taxi's. We paid R240,00 from Elizabeth House to the restaurant and back. No comparison to the R 700,00 we paid from Elizabeth House to Cape Town. I came to work, as the best month of the summer (so they say) turned out to be a cold winters day, with heavy rain and thunderstorm.

Sharon was amazing, very chilled. It felt like home the moment I stepped inside. The rooms were beautiful and clean. I plan on going back quite soon.
