"Historic boutique hotel, contemporary style."

Charming period boutique hotel, managed with real flair by a whole team devoted to making a stay special. A wonderfully comfortable bedroom equipped with everything needed, overlooking a pool with a fantastic backdrop of the surrounding mountains. Fantastic fresh breakfasts selected the night before, in a light airy breakfast room. The hotel is towards the west end of the Main Street through Swellendam, so is quiet and peaceful, and a pleasant stroll to a good choice of restaurants in the centre. A lovely quiet, high quality destination in a charming old town. The guesthouse oozes historic resonances but delivers them with contemporary comfort.

Het was schoon

De hoge score die La Sosta op Booking heeft is niet juist; er zijn veel veel betere (en goedkopere) overnachtingsadressen in de directe omgeving. Zelfs schuin tegenover. De kamer is klein, bij aankomst moet je al kiezen wat voor ontbijt je wil, het ontbijt is minimaal in een luxe diep bord (wij kozen voor yoghurt met vers fruit en kregen 2 schepjes yoghurt met een warme peer uit blik en wat müsli) en het duurde heel lang voordat we ‘s ochtends warm water hadden; mijn man had een koude/lauwe douche.

Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, coole Location mit toller Gartenanlage

Frühstück ist trotz Zeitangabe 20min verspätet eingetroffen (war wegen des Zeitdrucks nicht optimal); zudem war unser zugeteilter Tisch am Fenster, wo die Sonne rein schien (heizte halt auf wenn man dort 40min sitzt..)

Außergewöhnliches und sehr leckeres Menü mit begleitenden Weinen. Das Betreiberpaar war sehr freundlich und sehr kompetent.

Kommunikation zum Thema Menü im Restaurant. Leider war dadurch unser sehr sehr leckeres Menü im "La Sosta" am Ende leider doppelt so teuer wie angenommen. Die Angestellte war nicht sehr freundlich.
