Grande Provence

The villas are lovely and the staff are friendly.

The service is very disconnected from the villas and you need to walk across wet lawns to get to the dining lounge. The cooked breakfast was at best a 2 star meal.

Location is beautiful and well-maintained premises and accommodation. The staff are welcoming.

The breakfast options were not well explained, and we were only offered eggs as a warm option (after asking how you serve your eggs/warm breakfast the answer was with toast). Like most of Franschhoek, the price is steep for the outcome.

Location was perfect alongside the vineyard with Mountain Views

A gorgeous place to stay - Vineyard Suite 2, the new suite we stayed in was exceptional, lovely view over the vineyards and serenity and privacy. The breakfast served to you in your room was wonderful, different and so perfect for a sunshine morning on the deck with a scrumptious breakfast. Great location, easy to get around in Franschoek and wonderful kind service from the team.

The staff were wonderful. Wellington took great care of us on a wet stormy weekend in July. The restaurant was a lovely surprise, thought it may not live up to the aesthetics but the food and atmosphere was great! Our breakfast spread was also impeccable with delicious pastries, cheeses and fresh fruits. Not to mention the beautiful finishes and great local artwork scattered throughout Grande Provence. Worth a stay if you find yourself out in Franschhoek.

Hard to think of anything to top it. Perhaps the tasting room could have been a bit warmer and more comfortable. Not a problem in the summer months though I would imagine.
