Rooms where clean and neat, very nice venue

i like the water view from the bed room .

there was no tea bag in the table and not enough sugar. looks like was not refilled .

We did not have breakfast on this stay but we have had breakfast there on a previous occasion and that is what promoted the renovation and the need to stay over

There was an ironing board but no iron in the room

The bungalows on the water were lovely

The rooms were dusty, the curtains had only a few hooks to hang on. The stoeps were extremely dirty and full of bird droppings. The dining room nice looking but Most of the menu not available. No wine other than late harvest. Our one wineglass had bird droppings, the other one a dead fly. Food was palatable. No breakfast available. No care at all. Place is terribly neglected!

Its a good place with potential.

Rooms curtains on properly. Kettle with 1 rooibos bag nothing else. Shower take long for hot water and very weak. No room service in mornings to make beds or for anything else. The cleanliness of the place not up to scratch. Even spider webs on chairs in restaurant. Went to restaurant, had just 1 coke available. Ordered ribs and sent it back as we could not even cut it. Got then Nachos made with oily fried tomato and onion and cheese on top.. ? No breakfasts available at any of the mornings. Pizza's only available on Saturdays but not there when we got there. Hardly any staff around for assistance. Sunday morning not even able to give someone the key back. Booked for 2 rooms but had to cancel one due to unforseen incident. I was charged have price for cancellation, I accepted but this means I paid a lot for our room which was totally unacceptable for the price.

The location is stunning, set a little way out of town the setting is peaceful and located own a small dam in the countryside. Still near enough to town should you need to go there. The restaurant is fantastic with views across a small dam and the menu altoough old school has enough variety to satisfy any taste

The water pressure was very low and there was no hot water. The shower did not work at all however there was a little bit of cold water coming out of the taps on the bath so just enough to wash.
